We held discussions with Colin Nellist in late 2014 discussing the possibility of Chesterfield Football Club switching accounts for the Proact Stadium from Severn Trent Water to Access Utilities. With our expertise with sports clubs not only could we reduce their current spend on water we could manage the account and offer continual advice on how to reduce main water usage.

Our proposal was approved by the Chief Executive Chris Turner in December 2014 where we would offer the club a 10% saving on their current charge from Severn Trent which would save Chesterfield over £5000 in the first three years.

Access Utilities were due to start the drill in early 2015 but because of the hydrology we needed to apply for coal authority permit to drill. This took over four months to obtain. Our drilling started in September 2015 and lasted only 4 days on site.

The depth was 45 metres and we began test pumping the supply before a water quality test. Access Utilities will service and test the water every 12 months as part of our contract.

EXTRA SERVICES

Following the installation of the private water supply at the Proact Stadium we were asked to look at the training ground where they have an issue with restricted water supply to the pitch.

Our survey department assessed the location and a design for a new private water supply including new irrigation tank with mobile irrigation unit was proposed. This can offer them an unlimited supply of water and their pitches can be watered with no problem.
